Overview
Lutron is seeking a collaborative Sustainability Project Coordinator to join the Sustainability team at Lutron's Global Headquarters in Coopersburg, PA. The Sustainability Project Coordinator plays a pivotal role in advancing Lutron's sustainability initiatives across the organization. This position supports the execution of our corporate sustainability strategy and empowers our customers in achieving their own environmental goals. By collaborating cross-functionally with teams across product development, operations, marketing, and customer engagement, the coordinator helps drive impactful, measurable progress toward a more sustainable future.
Responsibilities
Collaboration and cross-functional engagement
- Day-to-day coordination of projects and activities to support the implementation of the sustainability plan
- Track timelines & key milestones, keep project timelines up to date, effectively communicate status, and ensure deliverables are met
- Support coordination with vendors and consultants
Data Collection & Analysis
- Work across a company to gather sustainability data, such as facilities data, energy usage, packaging improvements and more
- Coordinate the preparation and submission of an accurate and auditable Greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory according to established guidelines
- Utilize greenhouse gas inventory software for data management, analysis, and reporting of GHG emissions and other environmental metrics
- Compile annual GHG disclosures
- Compile annual sustainability report including greenhouse gas emissions results, company efforts and impact, and future looking plans
Employee Engagement
- Build employee engagement plan and work with internal comms to execute employee outreach to drive awareness and support for company sustainability initiatives
- Support the execution of employee sustainability campaigns including the annual Earth Day, Every Day week and recycling events
- Manage employee-facing SharePoint Site
- Coordinate with facilities on sustainability improvements at our facilities and drive employee outreach (Examples below)
- Recycling signage and communications
- ReDish
Customer Outreach & Market Intelligence
- Manage review and response to customer sustainability requests
- Benchmark industry partners on messaging, metrics, reporting
- Collaborate with marketing teams to support our customer facing sustainability message
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies, Sustainability, Business, or a related field required
- Minimum cumulative 3.00 GPA required
- Minimum 3 years work experience in project management required
- Experience in GHG inventory management, emissions accounting, reporting, or general accounting preferred
- Experience with GHG software (Example: Workiva) preferred
- Must live within commutable distance of Coopersburg PA to accommodate in-office schedule
